Newmarket High School Boys Survive Sunapee, Move to 2-0 on the Season
The team staged a late comeback after trailing 27-20 at halftime
The Newmarket Mules boys' basketball team outlasted a tough Sunapee team on Friday, riding a second half comeback to a 55-46 victory to move to 2-0 on the season.
Baris Fortier scored 38 points for the second straight game, and leads Division 4 in scoring. Jaron LaBranche added 6 points, Jameson Senesombath chipped in 5 crucial late game points, Matt Napoletano had 4, and Al Henry scored 2.

Sunapee led 27-20 at halftime, but the Mules staged a huge comeback in the third quarter, capped by a 3-point buzzer beater by Fortier as the clock expired. Tough team defense and critical shots from Senesombath and Napoletano sealed the game.

The Mules next play Franklin in their home opener on Tuesday at 7 p.m., right after the girls' game at 5:30 p.m.
