Newmarket Mules Boys 4-1 Headed Into the Holiday Break
The team dropped a tough game to Epping but rallied back to beat Nute the following night
The Newmarket High School boys' basketball team went 1-1 last week, losing a tough one to Epping on Wednesday, Dec. 21 before rallying back to beat Nute for the second time this season on Thursday, Dec. 22.
Playing without Baris Fortier and Matt Napoletano, the Mules battled Epping to a near standoff, eventually losing by 2 points, 53 to 51. Parker Sweitzer led the way for the Mules with 22 points, followed by Jaron LaBranche with 11, Alex Henry with 9 and Jameson Senesombath with 7. The two teams play again on Jan. 25 at home.
The following night was a different story, as Newmarket easily handled Nute at home, coasting to a 69 to 51 victory. Senesombath led the Mules with 20 points, followed by Henry with 18, Sweitzer with 14 and LaBranche with 10.

The Mules are now off for the holidays, and face a tough stretch upon their return, starting with an away game against Portsmouth Christian Academy in Dover on Jan. 6 and then three games the following week, including home games against Holy Family (Jan. 9) and Farmington (Jan. 11) and an away game in Groveton (Jan. 13).
