Newmarket Needs a Leader with a Backbone; Integrity
One honest person can make all the difference in the world!
Dear Newmarket citizens,
Recent events shed more light on incompetence that is costing you all a small fortune in legal expenses.
On January 27, 2020, more than three years since I first filed my complaint against the NMSD and School District Attorney Barbara Loughman, alleging perjury, fraud, and obstruction of justice, the RCPO finally interviewed Newmarket School District Attorney Loughman on January 27, 2020.

During the interview, Loughman informed the investigators that she only ever asked one person, Al Zink, whether or not the superintendent search committee ever met, and that Mr. Zink said they did not. This, of course, was a lie by Mr. Zink. They met as a committee on November 5th through the 8th, 2015.
Question: why did Loughman only ever ask Zink? For the amount of money, you all pay her, one might think she would have confirmed whether or not the Search Committee met by asking others who served on the search committee before taking the case to court. Why didn’t Loughman read all of the meeting minutes which show the Search Committee did meet, or watch the 12/17/2015 school board meeting video showing Al Zink informing the world how the Search Committee did meet and what they accomplished? Money and coverup, that’s why.

Likewise, the interview reveals Loughman stating that she only ever asked one person, school superintendent secretary Penney Botterman, if the nonpublic meeting minutes of the screening committee were sealed, and that Botterman informed her they were. This also was a lie.
Curiously, the investigators never questioned or revealed to Loughman that Al Zink, who was the chairman of the screening committee, and Steve Fournier who served on the committee, have both stated that the nonpublic meeting minutes were not sealed.
Your school district Attorney Barbara Loughman is reaping the benefits of all of the NMSD lies in cold hard taxpayer cash. But the bigger expense to Newmarket is the town’s reputation.
As I watch Newmarket school board meetings, I am always amazed to never see any residents seeking truth...why not?
