Newmarket, NH School District Officials, Must Resign!

The Newmarket, NH School District, led by Superintendent of Schools Susan Givens and School Board Chairman Mike Kenison, has been disastrous for the Newmarket Community. And they, along with other school board members Kim Shelton, Gary Swanson, Amy Tilton, and Elizabeth McKinney, must all resign immediately.

Public school employees and students must have educational leaders who exhibit and extoll the virtues of honesty and integrity in all aspects of public service. Newmarket’s current educational leaders, through their actions, have shown they lack either of these virtues.

It has never been OK for any public official, appointed or elected, to engage in illegal or unethical behavior, yet, this is what Newmarket’s educational leaders have been doing. They have been lying to our state courts in order to protect themselves and others from legal accountability. And they have been doing all of this at taxpayer expense!

Whether Newmarket’s students and staff engage in remote learning this fall or return to the physical classroom, they deserve better educational leadership than they currently have. Givens and Kenison and the rest must resign!
