Newmarket School District Takes Step In Right Direction
Kenison, Shelton, Mckenney, and Givens all need to resign for the good of Newmarket
Newmarket voters took a step forward (hopefully) when they voted Smith and Wieslquist off the school board. However, if the two new board members act with the same disdain for transparency and ethics shown by Smith and Wieslquist, I hope the voters will show the new members the door also.
On another subject, if Schhol District Clerk Penney Bottermen did resign from the school district (a rumor circulating in town), this is also good news for the district.
Penney has brought disgrace to the district through her actions and inactions concerning court proceedings and criminal investigations.

Her silence (lack of integrity) has cost the school district many tens of thousands of dollars and brought disgrace to the town.
As a public employee and elected public official, Penney had an obligation to speak out for truth and justice and to report violations of law within the district. This was her sworn oath. Sadly, and to the detriment of all of Newmarket, Penney violated this oath time and again.

Botterman, however, is not the only one who needs to go: Kenison, McKenney, Shelton, and Givens all must resign.
Each of the above-named individuals have all brought shame and disgrace to Newmarket with their unethical and illegal actions.
Newmarket deserves and must demand public servants who conduct themselves with honesty and integrity.
