Newmarket School District Unethical Actions Continue…

Newmarket Taxpayers Foot Bill for Unethical Actions of School Officials

Over the past few weeks, I have reached out to the Newmarket School District Attorney Barbara Loughman and Superintendent Susan Givens with two settlement offers, in an attempt to resolve a legal dispute between the district and myself.

Unfortunately for Newmarket taxpayers, my offers fell on deaf ears. In fact, neither of my offers were ever even presented to the Newmarket School Board for their consideration. This fact is completely unethical. Loughman and Givens had a legal and ethical responsibility to present the settlement offers to the school board. They knew this and chose to do otherwise. So be it.

Today my settlement offer with the district is officially off the table. This is good news, no doubt, for Attorney Loughman, who will probably pocket perhaps as much as $300,000 in legal fees from Newmarket taxpayers in defending the school district. Good job Loughman!

The facts of the case against the Newmarket School District are irrefutable. Attorney Loughman has repeatedly committed perjury for the district by falsely informing the courts the 2015 superintendent search committee never met and that the 2015 superintendent screening committee nonpublic meeting minutes were sealed.

Making matters much worse for Newmarket, in response to my request to inspect all of the public documents, meeting minutes, emails, etc., of the screening and search committees, documents which no doubt would have shown perjury had been committed, Attorney Loughman and former Superintendent Nadeau completely blacked out (redacted) more than 13K documents.

Newmarket taxpayers can access the truth by simply asking Steve Fournier, Al Zink, Penney Botterman, Susan Givens, Meridith Nadeau and every member of the 2015 search and screening committees, all of whom are aware of the truth: that Loughman and the district have committed perjury in our courts.

I will do my best to keep Newmarket taxpayers updated as my cases against the district move forward. After all, it’s the taxpayers who will be paying for the unethical, illegal, and immoral conduct of Newmarket’s officials.
