Newmarket School District Wasting Taxpayer Dollars

Newmarket School District fraud, lies and incompetence is costing taxpayers many tens of thousands in legal fees alone!

Public records reveal the Newmarket School District has spent nearly 60 thousand dollars in legal fees alone from Sept 2019 through December 2019, nearly 25 thousand in December alone!
What was going on in December? This was when Chris Mazzone and the school administration reconciled their differences.

Although Susan Givens has repeatedly frustrated and violated my Right to Know concerning what took place with Mazzone, the information I received indicates that after his removal, Mazzone hired a lawyer and threatened to sue Newmarket. It also appears that the case went to mediation.
Mazzone could only have been removed for cause. By virtue of the fact that he is back working for the district, in a made-up and unauthorized position which will end in June, we can conclude an agreement was reached in mediation.

In addition to the legal fees paid by Newmarket in this case, the taxpayer also has to eat Mazzone’s contract worth in excess of $ 125,000 with benefits. Total price tag to the Newmarket taxpayer for this debacle...somewhere close to $ 200,000!

Givens needs to resign and take Kennison and the rest of the school board and Attorney Loughman with her!
