Newmarket's New School Board Members Gary Swanson and Amy Tilton

Congratulations! Newmarket is counting on your honesty and integrity!

Dear Gary and Amy,

Congratulations on your election to the Newmarket School Board!

If you have not already done so, you will soon take the oath of office under our state constitution. I hope that this oath will mean more to you than it has to your predecessors and other current Newmarket School Board members. Newmarket needs and deserves elected officials who will serve with integrity and honesty.

In addition to offering you my sincere congratulations, I am also writing to caution you regarding those who you will now be serving with on the board: Kenison, McKinney, and Shelton. These individuals are not to be trusted. They have all violated their oaths of office and acted in ways to bring discredit upon themselves and the town. In fact, I believe they will each soon be removed from office for their unethical behavior.

I currently have a case against the school district at the NH Supreme Court and have also filed criminal allegations against the school district and school board attorney Barbara Loughman citing perjury, obstruction of justice and falsification. I hope that you will soon familiarize yourself with these issues.

First and foremost, I hope that you will demand transparency regarding the Chris Mazzone situation. It’s my contention that Superintendent Givens misappropriate public funds in order to pay for Mr. Mazzone’s new position. I also believe she did this because she removed him improperly and awarded Mazzone the position as part of a settlement agreement for her mistakes. All of which would be illegal.

I wish you well...but please do not allow yourselves to become corrupted by others or violate your oath of office. Newmarket has had enough of that.

Please consider this letter as a public document and present it to the school board.

Sincerley,

Jeffrey Clay
