Newmarket's Phil Nazzaro Disappoints !

Newmarket’s Phil Nazzaro disappoints, cowers in a corner appearing totally disinterested, and most disturbing, he violated state laws during his first meeting as a member of the Newmarket School Board. Such a shame. I was hopeful.

Nazzaro first disappointed me and many others in voting for Gary Swanson as Chairman of the Board, and Heather Durant as vice-Chair.

Nazzaro is aware that both Swanson and Durant have violated their oaths of office by engaging in illegal, unethical, and immoral acts that have caused much harm to Newmarket and others, yet he rewarded them? Unconscionable, Mr. Nazzaro.

Nazzaro also violated NH RSA 189:39 when he voted to allow Superintendent Givens to enter into contracts with professional staff without School Board having elected them. No excuse for this vote, Mr. Nazzaro. Newmarket voters elected you to carry out your official duties, not illegally pass the buck to Givens.

RSA 189:39 How Chosen. – Superintendents shall nominate and school boards elect all teachers employed in the schools in their school administrative unit, providing such teachers hold a valid educational credential issued by the state board of education.

Nazzaro also violated NH laws and rules regarding competitive bidding when he vote to approve school contracts that were awarded to companies in violation of state competitive bidding procedures and rules.

Prior to Nazzaro’s first school board meeting, I called him several times, leaving him detailed messages asking him to return my calls. I also sent him several email messages describing some of the unethical and illegal actions of the Newmarket School Board and Superintendent.

All of my messages to Nazzaro concerned the people of Newmarket and how they have been harmed by Givens, Loughman, and other School Board members. Nazzaro apparently does not want to hear the evidence and complaints.

In Sum, Nazzaro is not the man I was hoping for, or that Newmarket so desperately needed on the School Board. Better luck next time, Newmarket.
