NH AG Confirms Fremont Deaths Were Murder-Suicide
Man strangled his girlfriend and then shot himself.

Attorney General Joseph A. Foster, New Hampshire State Police Colonel Robert C. Quinn, and Fremont Police Chief Jon Twiss, announce that autopsies have been completed on the female discovered at 296 Main St. in Fremont on Oct. 17, and the male discovered in a truck in Fremont, New Hampshire on Oct. 17.
The two individuals have been identified as Mary Lucas (52) and Michael Porter (51) of Fremont, New Hampshire.
New Hampshire Deputy Chief Medical Examiner Dr. Jennie Duval has determined that the cause of Mary Lucas’ death was strangulation, and the manner of her death was homicide. Dr. Duval also determined that the cause of Michael Porter’s death was a single gunshot wound, and his manner of death was suicide.

Based on the investigation, investigators believe that Michael Porter strangled his girlfriend, Mary Lucas, after which he committed suicide.
