“Based upon the initial on scene investigation, it appears that the Chrysler PT Cruiser was on North River Road and the Kenworth Tractor-Trailer unit was headed northbound on Route 125,” according to Sgt. Steven Wheeler of the NHSP. “The causation of the crash is still under investigation.”

At the request of the Epping Police Department, the New Hampshire State Police Collision Analysis and Reconstruction (C.A.R.) Unit responded to the scene. Along with the Epping Police and Fire Departments and the New Hampshire State Police, Troop A and G, and the Rockingham County Sheriff’s Department also responded to the scene and assisted, according to Wheeler.

Due to the collision, the southbound travel and break down lane on Route 125 was closed for approximately four hours. Due to the area neighborhoods and morning school pick up for children, traffic was not diverted.

At this time alcohol and/or drug impairment does not seem to be a factor in this crash however all aspects remain under investigation, Wheeler noted. However, anyone that may have further information related to this crash is being asked to contact TFC Bryan Plamondon at 603-223-8677 or email at bryan.plamondon@dos.nh.gov.
