The following is from the NHSPCA in Stratham:
Tamara is a 14 year old Umbrella Cockatoo looking for a home with an owner who has previous large bird experience.
She is sweet and willing, but like any Cockatoo she requires structure and consistency in her life. Her feathers show signs of stress induced feather picking, which is a common behavior problem with captive birds. Improved diet, socialization and out of cage play time will help reduce this behavior.

Interested parties should research Umbrella Cockatoos to make an informed decision on whether or not this bird is the right pet for them. Cockatoos have a long life span, and Tamara is already looking at her third home in her short life. What she needs now is someone to make a life-long commitment to her.
She will make a wonderful companion for the right person, could it be you?
