No Alleged Hit List At Exeter High School: Police Chief
Police deemed the allegation unfounded after a faulty member overheard a conversation by a student and the comments were investigated.

EXETER, NH — Police in Exeter spent yesterday afternoon and evening investigating an allegation that there was a “hit list” at Exeter High School – but have deemed the allegation unfounded. According to a press statement, Exeter Police Chief William Shupe said the allegation was raised by a faculty member who reportedly overheard a student speaking to another student about the existence of a hit list. The faculty member told administrators and then, police were contacted.
“Members of the Exeter Police Dept. conducted multiple interviews of students during the night including the accused student,” Shupe stated. “The family of the accused fully cooperated with the police including a search of their home, computers, cell phones, and other areas where a note would be kept or written. No hit list or similar evidence was found and the report has been deemed unfounded at this time.”
Investigators as well as school officials are continuing to look into the matter in an attempt to identify the original student.
