No Parole for Ex-Tyco CEO With Exeter Ties

Dennis Kozlowski stole more than $100 million.

Former Tyco CEO Dennis Kozlowski, who worked at the business when its headquarters were in Exeter before he was convicted of stealing more than $100 million from the company, was recently denied parole, according to the Associated Press.

The news service reported a parole board said his release now "would not be compatible with the welfare of society at large," and that he committed a "glaring violation of trust."

Kozlowski was convicted in 2005. He was sentenced to up to 25 years in prison, according to the Associated Press.

According to BusinessWeek, Kozlowski was the person who persuaded Tyco to move its headquarters from Exeter to Manhattan in New York before he stole the money – which he infamously used to buy a $6,000 shower curtain for his wife, among other purchases.
