No Sunshine in Newmarket, NH

When it comes to the public’s Right-to-Know (RTK) don’t expect much help from town officials. Newmarket officials don’t like anyone holding them accountable and they will obstruct your RTK requests at every turn.

Newmarket Town Manager Steve Fournier, Town Clerk Terri Littlefield, and Police Chief Greg Jordan have all violated provisions of RSA 91-A (NH Right-to-Know Law) regarding requests I have made to each of them, and they have each acted like penchant children regarding my requests.

This past week I filed an RTK complaint with the newly established RTK Ombudsman’s office against Steve Fournier, alleging numerous violations of RTK. The sad part is knowing Fournier will not answer the complaint by himself. Fournier will use, at taxpayer expense, an attorney paid for with local tax dollars.

This week coming, I will be filing two new complaints with the Ombudsman’s office, one against Greg Jordan and one against Terrie Littlefield. Both of these so-called “public servants’ must have been educated by Fournier when it comes to RTK because they have followed his playbook to the letter. Again, sadly, Newmarket taxpayers will foot the bill for responding to these new allegations.

I have always known the Newmarket School District to be a corrupt organization. I have since learned the Newmarket Police Dept., like the School District, is also a corrupt organization. What I did not know until recently is that the Town is also corrupt.

Examples: Newmarket School District officials have been lying in court documents and committing other crimes for years yet, not one of the district's school board members past or present or district superintendents have ever come forward to expose the crimes.

Newmarket Town Manager Steve Fournier knows the school district lied to the courts and he knows that the school district engaged in other crimes, including extortion and falsification of public documents yet, despite having sworn an oath to uphold NH Laws and its Constitution, Fournier has remained silent.

Newmarket Police Chief Greg Jordan is a corrupt bum just like Fournier and school district officials. When presented with allegations of the crimes committed by Newmarket school district officials, Jordan tanked the allegations and failed to properly investigate the allegations all to protect his school district friends.

Moreover, Jordan should have recused his department from investigating the allegations against school district officials because of an obvious conflict of interest: The school district hires (pays) Newmarket police officers to serve as resource officers in the schools.

The people of Newmarket deserve so much better from their public officials and servants. When people like Jordan, Fournier, Littlefield, Allen, and Swanson act badly, it not only costs taxpayers’ money, it reflects very badly on the town.
