Motorcycle Crash Victim Remembered

A 23-year-old Massachusetts woman who died in a last week in Stratham was remembered as a "remarkable" woman.

Alexa Christakos, 23, of Lowell, Mass. was riding on the back of Michael Gazeaud's motorcycle when he veered off the road and hit two signs, killing both of them.

The Boston Globe reported friends gathered at a vigil last week to remember Christakos, who was a swimmer and boxer.

“She never wasted a minute," a friend told the Globe. "She wanted to experience everything.”

Christakos was buried last week in Tewksbury, Mass.

Police said Gazeaud's motorcycle was clocked going 120 mph shortly before the crash. Neither he nor Christakos were wearing helmets, police said.
