Newmarket Public Library is pleased to announce the addition of a children’s librarian to our staff. Lisa Arbogast will be available to answer kids’ questions and encourage their love
of reading.
And be sure to stop by for the preschool story hour, Tuesdays at 10:30, preschoolers (and younger kids) are invited to stop by for a story and craft.
Interested in writing but
not sure where to start? The Friends of the Newmarket Public Library will host
a program on Oct. 19 from 1 to 2
p.m. for people interested in writing and getting self-published. Three authors
from a local writing group will answer questions and light refreshments will be
served.

Confused about the new Affordable Care Act? Family First will host a talk on Wednesday, October 30
from 4 - 6 PM in the meeting room.

involved in something and love the library, think about joining the Friends of

books? Books and Coffee Discussion Group might be for you. This month’s book is
“The Shadows of the Wind” by Carlos Ruiz Zafaon. The group will meet on October 18 at 10:30 a.m. The November book will be
“Twelve Tribes of Hattie” by Ayana Mathis.
Fascinated by history and the macabre? The NPL is pleased to present a New Hampshire Humanities Council program, “Lizzie Borden Took an Axe, Or did she?” on November 9 at 2 p.m. Plymouth State University associate professor of rhetoric Annette Holba will be the presenter.
