Officers Wounded in Drug Raid Trying to Sue Shooter's Mother

Police officers wounded in a shootout with a Greenland drug dealer last year are trying to sue his mother.

The shootout happened during a botched drug raid at 29-year-old Cullen Mutrie's home. Greenland Police Chief Michael Maloney was killed and four officers were wounded.

The officers are trying to sue Beverly Mutrie, arguing she knew of his son's drug activity, according to the Union Leader.

A judge said the officers' case "continues to hang by a thread," but gave their legal team a few more months to come up with evidence, the UL reported.
