One Democrat Incumbent Wins, Another is Unsuccessful
Steven Briden comes up short in five-way race.

The Democratic primary for four Rockingham District 18 state representative seats to represent Exeter at the Statehouse was one of a handful of Democratic primaries in the state.
According to unofficial results, Skip Berrien topped the ticket with 648 votes or 24 percent. Incumbent Frank Heffron was not far behind with 23 percent and 640 votes. Paula Francese received 542 votes, coming in third, with 20 percent of the vote, and Alexis Simpson received 19 percent (518 votes) to round out the pack.
Incumbent Steven Briden came up short with 400 votes or 15 percent.
