Orange Leaf Frozen Yogurt Opening Saturday in Exeter

It's a self-serve store.

Orange Leaf Frozen Yogurt is scheduled to open in downtown Exeter Saturday, according to a company official.

The chain, which runs more than 150 shops across the country, will open at 130 Water Street across from Water Street Bookstore.

Workers are currently renovating the space. Orange Leaf Director of Public Relations Meredith Lynn said the company is also opening stores in Portsmouth and Hampton. The Portsmouth store will open soon after the Exeter store opens, while the Hampton one will open within a year, Lynn said.

The Exeter Orange Leaf store will replace Hannah's Fine Foods, a deli-style market that recently closed.

The new yogurt shop will be one of several dessert-themed shops in downtown Exeter. Others include Sugar and Ice 2 and Stillwells.

Orange Leaf is a self-serve frozen yogurt shop. Customers choose their own flavors and toppings, and are charged using the "weigh and pay" system.

Orange Leaf has more than 60 flavors, and each store has 16 flavors available at a time.

Orange Leaf got its start in California in 2008, and is now based out of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
