Patty Lovejoy Wins New State Rep. Seat

She defeated Bob Goodman.

Democrat Patty Lovejoy defeated Republican Bob Goodman in Tuesday's election for a newly created floterial state represesentative seat.

With eight of nine precincts reporting, Lovejoy beat Goodman by a vote of 5,835 to 4,303, according to WMUR-TV. In Exeter, Lovejoy defeated Goodman, 4,784 to 3,195.

Lovejoy, of Stratham, is a former Exeter School Board chairwoman.

Goodman, of Exeter, runs a political consulting firm and ran Ron Paul's presidential primary campaign in New Hampshire.

The seat that Lovejoy won represents Exeter, Newfields, Newmarket and Stratham.
