Phillips Exeter Grad Donates $30M to Harvard

Joseph O'Donnell is a Boston business executive.

Phillips Exeter Academy graduate Joseph O'Donnell and his wife, Katherine, have donated $30 million to Harvard University, according to the Boston Herald.

O'Donnell, a Boston, Mass.-based business executive, attended Harvard and earned a government degree and M.B.A.

"Harvard has played a very important role in my life," O’Donnell told the Herald. "Kathy and I are pleased to have this opportunity to support (Harvard President) Drew (Faust) and the deans as they guide the University forward. We hope that our gift will encourage others to do the same."

O’Donnell founded Boston Culinary Group Inc. and Belmont Capital. He also owns Allied Advertising Agency, according to the Herald.
