Provident Bank Awarding $20K to Local Nonprofits
Online voting will determine where the money goes.

The Provident Bank, which has a branch in Exeter, is holding online voting to determine how to distribute a $20,000 donation to local nonprofits, including several in Exeter.
The Provident Community Foundation’s 13th annual “Our Community, Your E-Vote” program is currently underway.
Members of the community may vote May 14 to June 15 by clicking on the “Our Community, Your E-Vote” button on the bank’s homepage at TheProvidentBank.com.

Based on the public’s votes, the bank will divide the funds among 39 organizations dedicated to improving the quality of life for residents throughout its service area of greater Amesbury and Newburyport, Massachusetts, and Seacoast New Hampshire.
Only one vote may be cast per email address (name and email address are required for each ballot entry).

“Many organizations are dedicated to improving our community and the lives of others," said Charlie Cullen, The Provident Bank president and CEO. "Our Community, Your E-Vote creatively brings awareness to some and engages customers, friends and neighbors in supporting their important work."

At the end of the voting period, votes will be tabulated to determine how the $20,000 grant will be allocated to each organization. All groups will be recognized at a check presentation reception at the bank’s main office in Amesbury in late June.
