Rally to Highlight Local Risk of Oil Trains & Remember Lac Megantic

A rally on Sunday, July 6th, will highlight the risk of oil trains which regularly pass through downtown Dover, posing a serious risk to the community and local waterways. The rally will also mark the one-year anniversary of the tragedy in Lac Megantic, Quebec, where a run-away train carrying that same type of crude oil left the tracks and exploded. That accident claimed 47 lives and destroyed 30 homes, businesses, and the town library.

Join 350 New Hampshire at the intersection of Central Avenue and Washington Street between 10:30 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. There will be literature and a mock oil spill. Stop by to learn how we can achieve rational solutions to our energy needs. For more information, contact 350NewHampshire@gmail.com or call 603.878.9046.
