ARTISAN STYLE BREADMAKING - Leigh Sloss
No kneading involved! Discover a simple method of making French or Italian style bread that’s chewy on the inside and crusty on the outside. Learn to make the dough, cloak it, and shape it into boules, baguettes or ciabatta. Each student will leave with a fresh loaf of bread and dough to make more at home. Bring a large glass, ceramic, or plastic bowl and a wooden spoon. 1 night class on Monday, September 28 or November 2, $45, 6:00-9:00 pm

GREEK COOKIES – Vaso Partinoudi
Learn to make some traditional Greek cookies and desserts in this one night class, including
Baklava, Honey Cookies, Kourabiedes (Russian Wedding Cookies), Orange New Year’s Cake,
Sesame and Almond Cookies. Tuesday, 1 night, November 17, $30, 5:30-8:00 pm

These decadent, healthy and free from sugar, eggs, dairy and gluten raw vegan recipes will knock your socks off and wake up your taste buds. All recipes are done in the “uncooking” style. Monday, 1 night, November 30, $45, 6:00-9:00 pm

UN COOKING THE RAW VEGAN STYLE WAY - Jazmin Davis
This class will teach you how to prepare a day of meals from fruits and vegetables with no cooking for a healthy day of eating while staying budget friendly and efficient. Tuesday, 1 night, April 7, $45, 6:00-9:00 pm

BALMS, BUTTERS & BATH BOMBS - Diann Sherbak
Learn how to make all natural luxurious body care products with basic ingredients from your cupboard. This class introduces students to the ingredients and chemistry of making balms, cream and bath bombs. Students will make and take home their own lip balm, lotion and bath bomb. Handouts and recipes will be provided. Monday, 1 night, October 26, $40, 6:00-9:00 pm

BEGINNING CROCHET– Alesia Dopson
Learn how to read directions, increase & decrease, work in rounds vs. rows, and all the different “types” of stitches. Students will make multiple pieces, including a hat, potholder, and more as time permits. Supplies provided. Additional yarns can be purchased. Please bring scissors and pencil. Thursdays, 6 weeks, beginning October 1, $80, 6:30-8:30 pm

HAND BUILDING WITH CLAY - Linda Gebhart
Learn how to work with air dry modeling clay and make a small pieces to take home and paint. 1 night, Thursday, November 12, $25, 6:30-8:30 pm.

INTERMEDIATE CROCHET - Alesia Dopson
Learn more in intricate techniques like crocheting in waves, picot, popcorn, front and back double post crochet, chainless double crochet, and more. Students will work on multiple pieces using the learned techniques. Supplies provided. Additional yarns can be purchased. Please bring scissors, pencil and a folder/binder. Prerequisite: Students must be competent doing single, double, half double, and triple crochet stitches as well as crocheting in rows and rounds. Thursdays, 6 weeks, beginning November 12, $85. 6:30-8:30 pm

INTRODUCTION TO COLD PROCESS SOAP MAKING – Diann Sherbak
Learn the basics of making cold process soap as well as the chemistry, necessary materials, supplies, equipment and safety precautions. You will learn how to color and scent the soap, prepare the soap mold, as well as, insulating, cutting, curing and storing finished soap. Using only plant based oils, essential oils, flower petals and all natural exfoliants, each person will be able to create their own 10 bar batch of soap to take home. Students should wear a long-sleeved shirt, for safety reasons and bring a 2.5 lb mold or purchase one from the instructor. Also bring an old towel or blanket to insulate the soap on the way home. Monday, 1 night, October 19, $40, 6:00-8:30 pm

Make two different shatter proof ball ornaments: a cup cake and decoupage bird to hang on your
holiday tree. 1 night, Tuesday, December 1, $25, 6:30-8:30 pm

PHOTOGRAPHING YOUR PETS – Sherry Brandsema
The best way to capture and show off your pet for your holiday cards, frames, and gifts! This talk was given at the Seacoast Camera Club some years ago and the presenter received an international award for her pet photography. - Thursday, 1 night, October 8, $20, 6:00-8:00 pm.

PAINTING WITH PASTELS –Lisa Mitchell St. Clair
This class will introduce the student to working with soft pastels, or developing skills in an experienced artist. Explore a different subject matter each week. RUG BRAIDING – Carolyn Brooks
For beginners or those with some experience, learn techniques in planning and starting a rug, lacing,
butting and choosing wool. Small rug or chair seat can be finished. Bring scissors, thread, pins, thimble and needle. Tuesdays, 3 weeks, beginning October 27, $50, 6:30-8:30 pm

SEWING – Wendy MacArthur Keith
This course is designed for beginners learning to sew as well as for more advanced students that would like to have time set aside to work on a project they have begun. Beginner students will decide on a project the first night of the course so they can learn basic techniques. Class meets at the Cooperative Middle School in Stratham. Wednesdays, beginning September 30, 6 weeks @ $55, 10 weeks @ $90, 7:00-9:00 pm

Pre-registration is required for all classes and space is limited. Complete registration information and other course selections are in the brochure which can be found at area businesses, the library, online at adulted.sau16.org or by calling the Exeter Adult Education office at 775-8457.
All courses are open to both Exeter residents and non-residents 18 years or older. A 20% discount will be given to any person age 65 or over. Discounts must be asked for at the time of registration. Refunds will not be given unless a course is cancelled.
