REGISTER NOW FOR CLASSES TO EARN AN ADULT HIGH SCHOOL DIPLOMA AT EXETER ADULT EDUCATION

The Exeter Adult Diploma program is now registering students for winter/spring semester courses that begin Monday, January 27, 2014. This program is designed for students who did not complete high school but who would like to earn a diploma by taking courses in the evening similar to those taken by high school students. Classes are small and are offered Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday evenings at Exeter Adult Education at the Tuck Learning Campus, 30 Linden Street, Exeter.

Adults interested in this program should call the Adult Education office at 775-8457 to arrange an appointment by Friday, January 24.  Prospective students are asked to bring a copy of their high school transcript and certificates of any other training in order to evaluate how many credits they have already earned. In addition, older students may also qualify for work experience or military credits.

The selection of courses this semester includes:
Mondays -
Chemistry, US History II,  Workforce Math, and English Exploration.
Tuesdays -
Foundations of Math, Introduction to Algebra, Algebra I, and Global Human Rights.
Thursdays—Biology, Film: Fact & Fiction and Environmental Science.  Limited scholarships are available thanks to the generous support of the Exeter Rotary Club and Exeter Lion’s Club.

These courses are also open to adults who have completed high school but who also would like more background in a given subject area. Many adult students take these courses to prepare themselves for college courses. Anyone interested in taking courses in the Diploma Program should call as soon as possible, as these classes have limited enrollment, and pre-registration is required.
