Revamped Lunch Service for Blue Moon Evolution

Table and bar service has been added.

Exeter's Blue Moon Evolution restaurant has revamped its lunch service.

Full table and bar service has been added, replacing the usual cafeteria format. There's an eight-person community table, however, where customers can eat cafeteria-style. The restaurant's salad bar is still intact, and take-out is still available.

Owner Kathy Gallant said customers love the changes.

One of the reasons for the changes was to foster a more relaxed lunch environment, she said.

The lunch menu includes a "La Luna" sandwich comprised of brie, apples, and chutney. Another lunch dish is the Mulligatawny, a curry soup with eggplant and chickpeas. At the bar, beers from Portsmouth's Smuttynose Brewery and North Hampton's Throwback Brewery are available.

Lunch service is Mon.-Sat., from 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Dinner service is from Tue.-Thur. from 5 to 9 p.m. and Fri.-Sat. from 5 to 9:30 p.m. Menus can be found on Blue Moon's new website.

Blue Moon is in its 18th year in Exeter. The restaurant gets the majority of its food items from local farms like Kellie Brook Farm in Greenland and Stuart Farm in Stratham. The restaurant last year won a state award for its locally sourced menu.
