East Kingston Man Indicted for Illegal Possession of Grenades
Daniel Musso, who made national headlines at an anti-gun rally in Concord nearly two years ago, was indicted in U.S. District Court today.

CONCORD, NH - A New Hampshire gun rights advocate was indicted on March 18, 2016, in U.S. District Court for allegedly possessing grenades, according to officials.
Daniel E. Musso, Sr., 54, of East Kingston, is facing four counts of receiving and possession an unregistered firearm (grenades).

According to U.S. Attorney Emily Gray Rice, Musso was indicted after an undercover investigation by the FBI that began in January. An undercover agent was reportedly posing as an arms dealer while Musso was allegedly attempting to acquire grenades.

Musso and the agent reportedly agreed to meet to talk about a price for the grenades and then another meeting to complete the transaction, according to a press statement. On Jan. 27, 2016, the agent allegedly delivered four grenades to Musso at a location in Seabrook. Other FBI agents then arrested Musso as he headed to his vehicle with the bag of grenades, according to the report.Â
Musso has been held without bail since the arrest and was arraigned today on the indictment. He is still being held without bail, according to Rice. Musso is scheduled to be tried in May and faces 40 years in prison.
Musso made national headlines in Concord nearly two years ago after being Tased and arrested at a Mayors Against Illegal Guns rally at the Statehouse plaza in 2013 organized by then-NYC Mayor Michael Bloomberg. He was charged with disorderly conduct, resisting arrest, and two counts of simple assault, against a person who was attending the rally and a police officer.
