Scholarship Fund Honors Cody Brackett

A scholarship fund has been set up for Cody Brackett, the Exeter High School sophomore who died unexpectedly in September.

Brackett, 16, played football and loved the outdoors. He was remembered for his big smile and the many friends he made in high school.

Hundreds came out to his memorial service, and "Blue Hawks Fly Together" tributes were put up all over town. Exeter High's mascot is the blue hawk.

The scholarship fund will be awarded to a graduating senior, according to Cody's parents.

"This is a way to give back to a wonderful community that has shown us such support," said Joe and Stephanie Brackett.

There are two ways people can donate to the fund:

• Donating to "The Cody Brackett Scholarship Fund" at The Provident Bank on Portsmouth Avenue
• Purchasing apparel from the local Creative Touch Designs store. The phrase "Blue Hawks Fly Together" is stiched on sweatshirts, T-shirts, and hats.
