Seacoast 5K Race on New Year's Day

Here's a chance to get an early jump on your New Year's fitness resolutions—a 5K race will be held in Portsmouth New Year's Day.

The appropriately named "Resolution 5K" will start at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Little Harbor School, located at 50 Clough Drive in Portsmouth. The cost is $25, which can be paid the day of the race. There's a 500-runner maximum.

Proceeds from the race will benefit Great Bay Services, a non-profit organization dedicated to assisting people with developmental disabilities to live and work in the Seacoast.
