1. Halloween parade. The annual Portsmouth Halloween Parade will be held tonight at 7 p.m. Participants will march downtown. Find the parade route in the photo above.
2. Thursday weather. It might be a good idea to bring an umbrella to the parade. The forecast calls for a 70 percent chance of rain at night, with a low of 56 degrees.

4. Tragic animal rescue case. The New Hampshire Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals needs donations to care for four horses that it recently rescued. One of the horses was so emaciated it couldn't care for its newborn.
