Seeking Military Veterans

As part of a salute to Exeter's 375th, the Exeter Arts Committee is hosting a program at the Old Town Hall Gallery on Monday, November 11, 2013. Veteran's Day. We will start with presentation of the colors and the Exeter High School Band playing arrangements of all five Military hymns. Following that, we will be taping live interviews with any/all local military veterans, hopefully covering WWII, Korea, Vietnam, Iraq and Afghanistan. These interviews will be added to archives at the Historical Society begun several years ago by local veteran, George Dufour. Interviews will start with pre-formatted questions and continue, or stop, at the discretion and comfort of the veteran being interviewed. Taping, with local documentarian Jay Childs, will be held from 1:00-4:00. If you are a veteran, or know of one who would be willing to be part of our permanent Exeter history, please contact Jane Kiernan at 772-3134, or at exeter2arts@gmail.com.
