Shop for the Holidays at Vernon Family Farm

NEWFIELDS__Vernon Family Farm is ready for the holiday shopping with everything from pastured grass-fed roasts to bulk freezer options to handcrafted wreaths to decorate your home.

“Our farm store is open all year round which means shopping for local food doesn’t have to end with the start of winter,” said Nicole Vernon, who owns the farm with husband Jeremiah. “We have everything you need for holidays meals and locally made products that make great gifts.”

In preparation for the holiday season, the farm has worked with local suppliers to stock onions, garlic, squash, potatoes, sweet potatoes, mushrooms, beets, and carrots. They also sell cream, milk, cheeses, honey, maple syrup, spices, and fermented food.

To help cut down your time in the kitchen, the farm store also has a growing selection of prepared meal options including chicken pot pie, soups, lasagna, and enchiladas. “And you can always pick up a wicked chicken rotisserie chicken on Friday from 4 to 6 p.m. for a delicious and easy meal,” she said.

The farm store also carries homemade pies, fresh baked bread, eggs, and apples for holiday meals. For those looking for a local gift to give this holiday season, the store has homemade jams, maple syrup, honey and other locally produced items.

“Customers can also get Vernon Family Farm gift cards in any amount for people on their holiday shopping list,” she said.
