Southern District YMCA Announces Growing Board

Because of the expansion in Exeter, the org added seven new members to the board of directors and installed new board leadership.

Southern District YMCA is pleased to announce growth in its board of directors that directly reflects the anticipated increase in community services this year.

A new YMCA facility in Exeter will double the capacity of services and programs to the community and complement existing programs at YMCA Camp Lincoln and YMCA School Age Child Care. Because of this exciting growth and opportunity, Southern District YMCA added seven new members to the board of directors and installed new board leadership.

The Southern District YMCA Board of Directors is now comprised of 18 community influencers and leaders.

The 2015 Chief Volunteer Officer is Cindy Dominguez who has served on the board for six years. “The YMCA gave me confidence and inspired me to become the person I am today. Southern District YMCA affects so many youth in the community. As the organization grows, so will our reach. We are thrilled to welcome our new board members who bring enthusiasm and diverse expertise to this growing organization.”

New members are Jamie Brown, Director, National Accounts at Nutricia North America; Elizabeth DiBona, DMD of DiBona Dental Group; Peter Ihm, MD of Core Physicians; Peter Lennon, Consultant; Kevin O’Leary, Senior VP/CFO at Exeter Health Resources, Inc.; David Smith, Wealth Advisor Managing Member
at Robinson Smith Wealth Advisors LLC; and Allison Yeagle, Marketing Professional.

New member, Dr. DiBona grew up going to the YMCA in Massachusetts for weekly swim lessons. “The Y was a big
part of my childhood. Having a facility here in Exeter for
the expanded community is a great asset. I was humbled to
be asked to join the Southern District YMCA Board of Directors and I am excited to be a part of this growing organization.”

Returning board members are Bob Benoit, Banking Consultant/Director, Bank of New Hampshire; Kate Cook, Education Consultant, KCConsulting; J. Douglas Deihl, VP of Business Development, Analogic Corporation; Cindy Dominguez (Chief Volunteer Officer), Principal Scientist, Mitre Corporation; Joseph Grillo (Vice Chair), Senior Consultant and Expert Witness, IBEX Engineering Services, Inc.; Jeff Jackson (Treasurer), Principal, Compass Retirement Consulting; Susan Q. Janetos, Prevention and Wellness Program Manager, Blue Cross BlueShield of MA; Cory McPhee, Associate Regional Director, BFS Group; Bob Mitchell, Managing Member, Mitchell & Monti International LLC; Brendan Power (Secretary), Asset Manager with Housing Management Resources, Inc.; and Terry Sullivan (Board Emeritus), General Manager, Multiband NE Incorporated.

Southern District YMCA is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that provides opportunities for youth development, healthy living and social responsibility in the community by offering summer day camp and outdoor education at YMCA Camp Lincoln, YMCA School Age Child Care at 16 before-and/or-after school programs, and a new YMCA facility - with programs and activities for all ages - in Exeter, NH expected to open fall 2015.
