Stonehouse Pond Drowning Victim ID'd
Barrington Police, Fire-Rescue, as well as Strafford Police Department, Rochester Fire-Rescue, Durham Fire-Rescue and Lee Fire all assisted.

On Tuesday, July 7, 2015, at approximately 4:10 p.m., NH State Police – Marine Patrol dispatch received a report of a person who had gone in the water on the Stonehouse Pond in Barrington, according to a press statement.
Upon initial investigation, it was determined that the victim and a friend had attempted to swim across the pond, when the victim identified as Peter Haynes of Barrington begin to struggle and went under the water. The friend attempted to save Haynes but was unsuccessful, according to the report.
Responding agencies included NHSP-Marine Patrol Sergeant Dirth, New Hampshire Fish and Game, members of the Barrington Police Department, Barrington Fire-Rescue, Strafford Police Department, Rochester Fire-Rescue, Durham Fire-Rescue and Lee Fire-Rescue.

The 44-year old male victim from Barrington was recovered on July 8, 2015, by New Hampshire Fish and Game.
