Stratham Child Sexually Assaulted by Teacher, Police Say
Darrell Keene, a teacher at West Middle School in Andover, Mass., was charged with sexually assaulting a child he met online.
A Stratham child was sexually assaulted by a Massachusetts teacher, police said.
Darrell Keene, a teacher at West Middle School in Andover, Mass., was arraigned Tuesday.
WCVB-TV reported Keene, an eighth-grade math teacher, met the victim online. It was not clear how the old the victim was at the time of the assault.
Keene is 40 years old and lives in Haverhill. In addition to teaching, he was a theater director in the Haverhill area, according to the Eagle-Tribune.
His Twitter profile says he's a "teacher, actor, singer, (and) genealogist."
Andover schools Superintendent Marinel McGrath sent out a letter to parents that said a "West Middle School employee" was placed on leave after being arrested on a warrant for "allegations involving a child," the Eagle-Tribune reported. McGrath's letter did not mention Keene by name.
