We are proud to recognize all of these deserving students in an entirely atypical school year. No one finished the semester in a traditional classroom. Graduates did not attend graduation with their classmates in the usual manner. The Winfield L. Foote Endowment and Stratham Historical Society's award process was creatively altered, but not defeated by COVID-19. We are particularly gratified to support academic achievements in 2020.
The scholarships are made possible by the generosity of the late Mr. Winfield L. Foote, a long-time resident of Stratham and a strong supporter of The Stratham Historical Society. Including the above awards, to date the society has granted nearly $100,000.

Two or more $1,000 awards are offered each year to qualified applicants who meet the criteria set forth by the Society. Students are encouraged to watch for announcements and/or check with guidance departments to obtain applications which are available in February of each year for public and private high school seniors who are Stratham residents, and for students from surrounding communities who are enrolled in the SAU16 School District.
