Students Win Historical Society Scholarships
The Winfield L. Foote Award for Academic Excellence was awarded to three students.

The Stratham Historical Society is pleased to announce that The Winfield L. Foote Award for Academic Excellence has been presented this year to three 2015 applicants, according to a press statement.
This year’s recipients of the awards for graduating high school seniors are all Stratham residents, and are as follows:
Ema Scheifele, who will be attending Syracuse University; Lauren Edwards, attending UNH and Emma Henricks, who will be attending Connecticut College.

These three outstanding students are the recipients of the $1,000 award for 2015. Congratulations to all and our very best wishes for continued success.
These awards were made possible by the generosity of the late Mr. Winfield L. Foote, a long-time resident of Stratham and a strong supporter of The Stratham Historical Society. Two or more $1,000 awards will be offered each year to deserving applicants who meet the criteria set forth by the Society. Watch for announcements and/or check with guidance departments to obtain applications, which are available in February of each year for rising high school seniors.

In addition, generous awards will be offered to college/university rising juniors and seniors, and graduate students who qualify.
Applications for the awards for high school, college and graduate levels are available at the Stratham Historical Society link on the Town of Stratham website: strathamnh.gov. Click on Committees/Groups, then Historical Society, then Scholarships.
