Thousands Without Power in NH

EXETER, NH - Unitil reported a massive power outage in Rockingham County at this hour. The outage, according to alerts online, is due to some sort of power surge and was first reported at just after 8 p.m. on April 5, 2016.

Communities without power in the Unitil service area include Exeter, Brentwood, Kensington, South Hampton, Danville, East Kingston, Hampton Falls, and Newton.

Restoration times were estimated to be between midnight and 2 a.m. on April 6, according to Unitil, but in the end, all but a handful of homes were restored by 10 p.m.
