Two Killed in SUV Crash in Kensington
NHSP: An SUV speeding on Route 108 crashed, ejected three people last night; one is being treated in Boston with life threatening injuries

KENSINGTON, NH - The New Hampshire State Police’s Collision Analysis & Reconstruction Unit is investigating a fatal SUV accident last night in Kensington that took the lives of two people and left a third person critically injured, according to an alert this morning.
The Kensington Police Department was sent to a single vehicle accident at around 10 p.m. on Feb. 29, 2016, on Route 108 – North Haverhill Road – near the road’s intersection with Hobbs and Kimball Roads.
State Police report that a 2001 Toyota 4-Runner was traveling south “at a high rate of speed” when it failed to negotiate the right hand curve in the roadway.

“The Toyota left the roadway striking several trees,” according to Sgt. Steven Wheeler of the NHSP. “This caused the vehicle to roll over several times ejecting all three occupants of the vehicle.”
Two occupants succumbed to their injuries at the scene; a third was transported to Boston Medical Center in Boston, MA, with life threatening injuries. NHSP is working with the state medical examiner’s office to identify the crash victims.

It’s unknown if drug or alcohol were factors in the crash. It remains under investigation. The crash was cleared around just after 3:30 a.m., according to the NH DOT.
NHSP noted that Kensington Police assisted troopers from Troop A with the crash scene investigation. Kensington Fire and Rescue Teams also assisted at the scene.
