Vehicle Struck By Train In East Kingston
There were no injuries after an Amtrak train collided with a vehicle on Nov. 18.

EAST KINGSTON, NH — Chief Ed Warren of the East Kingston Fire Department reported that firefighters responded to the scene of a passenger train colliding with a vehicle that had become stuck on the tracks earlier today, according to a press release. At approximately 4:57 p.m. on Nov. 18, 2017, firefighters were dispatched along with East Kingston Police to the area of 1 Depot Road for a report of a collision involving a train and a vehicle. Upon arrival, firefighters quickly determined that an Amtrak train struck the vehicle while it was stopped on the tracks and that the driver of the vehicle had escaped the car prior to the collision.
Neither the driver of the car nor any of the more than 50 passengers on board the train were injured as a result of the collision.
"I'm extremely grateful that nobody was hurt as a result of this incident," Warren said in a statement.
