Vernon Family Farm Announces Fall Events
Live Music, Vernon Chicken and Fire & Ice Event Planned in October
NEWFIELDS__Vernon Family Farm is hosting a series of fall events on the farm including live music, local chicken and their popular Fire and Ice event.
The month kicks off with barbecue and rotisserie chicken nights on October 1st and 8th from 4 to 8 p.m. The harmony-driven duo Fox + Roy, from southern Maine, will perform live music on the 8th. They play a mix of folk and soul originals and covers from the 50s, 60s and beyond.
Live music and food will continue on October 9th with a fried chicken dinner on the farm with blues/rock/roots band Wellfleet. The band’s sound ranges from the bluesy rock of J. Geils Band, the poppier vibe of Blues Traveler, with roots of The Band sprinkled in the mix. Customers can also order fried chicken plates for drive-through pick up that night.

October 15th is the annual Fire and Ice celebration, an event with live music by Artty Francoeur and fire spinning performances. Francoeur is known for original American music, harmonica wailing and guitar picking. Vernon Kitchen rotisserie chicken and barbecue dinners will be available for the event, which is BYOB.
The last Fried Chicken Night of the season is planned for October 22 at the farm with Americana band Jake Davis & The Whiskey Stones. Customers can also order fried chicken plates for drive-through pick up that night.

October 29 is another Vernon Kitchen rotisserie chicken dinner on the farm with the option to BOYB and make a night of it. Music that night will feature The DoBros, whose style is a mix of country, rock, blues, bluegrass, funk, and Americana.
Reservations are required to dine at the farm this season. Hot, rotisserie chicken is available every Friday evening at the farm, all year round. Events are kid-friendly but please leave pets at home, as a pastured poultry farm there are lots of chickens ranging and roaming around.
