Vernon Family Farm and Hollister Family Farm Host Seedling Sale

NEWFIELDS__Vernon Family Farm and Hollister Family Farm are partnering up this month to offer their first seedling sale.

The seedling sale will take place the next two weekends, May 16 and 17, and May 23 and 24, from 9 a.m. until 6 p.m. at Vernon Family Farm on Route 87 in Newfields. The seedlings are all non-GMO, grown without spray, and include a variety of heirloom seedlings as well.

“This is another example of Vernon Family Farm collaborating with other local farms to get healthy, local food out to our community during this uncertain time,” said Nicole Vernon, who owns the farm with her husband Jeremiah. “Our farm store also continues to be stocked with a full selection of local goods that help farmers during this time when we have no farmers markets or abbreviated farmers markets.”

Customers may pre-order seedlings online at the Vernon Family Family online shopping portal, https://vff.theshiftlocal.com or go to the farm and buy directly there this weekend and next.

The farm offers curbside pickup for online orders and also has safety procedures in place, including a hand washing station outside their store where they have a limit of three customers inside at a time.
