Vernon Family Farm Kicks Off Winter Events Friday

Jack Frost Fireside Winter Series Features Food, Fire, Friends and Spirits

NEWFIELDS__Vernon Family Farm is thrilled to launch Jack Frost, a new fireside winter series that celebrates food, fire, friends and spirits, this Friday.

The Jack Frost series will take place every Friday from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. and on Saturdays from 3 p.m. until 7 p.m.
“We are eager to welcome the community to the farm this winter for a chance to enjoy Dutch oven comfort foods that highlight ingredients grown and raised at Vernon Family Farm,” said Nicole Vernon, who owns the farm with her husband, Jeremiah. “All of the tickets for this event are by our outdoor firepits and adults can also warm up with a whiskey bar featuring spirits from local distilleries.”
Tickets to the series includes all-you-can-eat food, which may change weekly and includes vegetarian options. This Friday’s menu features our Vernon Kitchen Classic Chicken Soup, Ranchero Beef Chili, and three types of coal-roasted veggies including cabbage with miso soy mustard; Fennel with lemon, parsley, garlic; and Squash with garlic, parsley, red wine vinegar. They will also offer warm cornbread with honey butter and S'mores kits. Alcoholic beverages are available at an extra cost.
Tickets can be purchased at the door, first come first served. If your party is 8 or more, call the farm and they will reserve a space. Tickets are $25 for those 13 years old and older and $15 for those ages three to 12. Children under 2 are free.Vernon Family Farm is located at 301 Piscassic Road in Newfields, where their farm store is open daily from 9 a.m. until 6 p.m. for local food shopping.
