Vernon Family Farm Summer Music and Event Series Begins May 27th

NEWFIELDS__Vernon Family Farm is kicking off their summer event series on May 27th with live music by Appalachian Still and farm to table food from Vernon Kitchen.

The farm is debuting their updated events space this year where people can order from Vernon Kitchen. “Vernon Kitchen, our catering company, offers a full menu this year with a variety of options sure to please a diverse community of eaters, including a kid's menu” said Nicole Vernon, who owns the VFF and VK with husband, Jeremiah.

The event will take place from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tickets to events do not include food. No outside food or drink be brought to events.

Music from Appalachian Still will take place from 5 to 7:30 p.m. The acoustic string band out of Northampton, Massachusetts plays high energy Americana that combines old-time mountain music with bluegrass, rock, and folk. Drawing from a repertoire of traditional tunes, original material, and covers, this band combines traditional music of Appalachians with many “modern” influences like The Band, Old Crow Medicine Show, The Grateful Dead, Norman Blake, and The Avett Brothers.

Tickets to music are required to join for events at the farm on Fridays and Saturdays and advance purchase is suggested as events often sell out. New this year, one ticket equals one person. When purchasing tickets, you will select what area of the farm you’d like to enjoy the show from: Fire Pit, Picnic Table, or Side Field.
