​Vernon Farm Welcomes Children 12 and Under for Free at Music Events

NEWFIELDS__Vernon Family Farm is welcoming children 12 and under for free to Friday and Saturday music events for the rest of the season.

“One of our core values here at Vernon Family Farm is family and we are so happy to make this change for the rest of the season,” said Nicole Vernon, who owns the farm with husband, Jeremiah. “This is a really exciting and special change and one that we hope will bring more of our community families to our land to share incredible farm raised food and positive vibes.”

Earlier this summer, the farm offered art and kid’s cooking classes as part of their mission to involve children in activities at the farm.

“We believe that inviting more families to the farm will give more awareness to farming, where food comes from and the importance of supporting local businesses and that continue to make the Seacoast a unique and desirable place to be,” Nicole said.

Upcoming musical guests at the farm include Laura Fox on Sept. 23, Sans Souci on Sept. 30, King Saison on Oct. 7, Marjorie Senet and the Broken-Home Boys on Oct. 8, Ellen Carolson and Melissa Caron on Oct. 14. While children are free, the farm asks that people indicate the number of children under 12 in their group when buying adult tickets to provide the farm with an accurate head count for the show.
