Becoming a personal training and fitness instructor found Kiira Harvey almost by accident. She came to Thrive as a member and loved all the classes so much, especially cycle, that she decided to become a certified instructor.
“It was amazing,” she said. “Shortly after that, I became certified to teach Spinning. Then, becoming a training just felt right, so I went all in.”

That was three years ago. Kiira is now certified through the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM) and offers private and semi-private personal training for women at Thrive. She is also a 200-hour trained yoga teacher, and instructs Core Power, and LiFT LiKE a GiRL.
Her approach to personal training is simple. “Form over failure. Fuel your body do not feed disease.”

She recognizes that each of her client requires an individual approach. “Each person is different and has their own struggles, past, hurdles ahead and journey to set forth on,” she says. “I am here to be by there side with sound advice and to support them in anyway necessary.”
Kiira points to the community and caring environment at Thrive as a supportive place for women to belong. “If you are not there for a few days people notice. If you are in need of hug, there are open arms,” she says. “If you need encouragement, we will rally for you. You are never alone.”
