Weather Cancels Kites Against Cancer Today

HAMPTON__Exeter Hospital's 10th annual Against Cancer event today, May 20, has been cancelled due to incoming thunderstorms.

"Unfortunately due to the high probability of rain and thunderstorms at midday, we need to cancel Kites Against Cancer. The main issue is safety, as there is no shelter in case of thunderstorms for the many volunteers and attendees," Deb Vasapolli, spokesperson for Exeter Hospital said early Sunday.

This uplifting family event invites community members to spend an afternoon at the beach surrounded by family, friends and neighbors in support and in memory of those affected by cancer.

The event will not be rescheduled this year due to availability of vendors and volunteers.
