Willow Pond CSA Shares Available

The farm is over in Brentwood.

The following is a news release from Willow Pond Community Garden:

If you don’t have the space or time to manage your own garden but you want to enjoy your own fresh vegetables, Willow Pond Community Garden Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) offers you your own crop throughout the growing season and a place to get your hands dirty.

When you join Willow Pond Community Farm you purchase both a portion of the harvest and also make a commitment to invest in the farm and the farmer early in the year to help buy the seeds and equipment needed in advance of the growing season. Members also support the farmer by volunteering approximately one hour per week from April – October.

The Willow Pond Community Farm community supported agriculture has been providing organic vegetables to community members for the past eight years. They start this year off with a new farmer, Glenn Preston. Glenn is from Maine and has worked on Dari Farm in South Freeport.

Members have a choice of either a full share or a part-share and can pick up their harvest starting June through October. There is also a very large “Pick Your Own” Section which includes endless tomatoes, herbs, green beans, flowers, peppers, chard and more.
