Winfield L. Foote Scholarship Applications SAU16 Deadline April 1

STRATHAM....Applications are now underway for the Stratham Historical Society's Winfield Foote Awards for Academic Excellence. Applications from local SAU 16 students at the following levels will be considered:

For 2024 high school graduates entering college in 2024, the deadline is April 1. A minimum of a $1,000 scholarship each will be offered. Applicants must be graduating high school seniors from SAU 16. Stratham residents graduating from private schools outside the district may also apply.

Scholarships in the amount of $1,500 are offered to qualifying Rising College Juniors and Seniors whose studies are focused on history and history-related majors. The deadline to apply is February 15, 2024.

A Thesis/Dissertation Award for Graduate students of $2,500 is offered. The deadline for applying is March 1, 2024.

A Benefactor Grant award is offered by the Society with a deadline of May 25, 2024.

To date, the Winfield L. Foote Scholarships for Academic Excellence program has awarded over $130,000 thru the Stratham Historical Society to local students.
